Challenge Index Ranks Brentsville District in Top 4%

Brentsville District High School ranks 52 in Virginia and 780 in the nation, according to The Washington Post's list of America’s Most Challenging High Schools (Challenge Index), putting it in the top 4%. Supporting Autism Around the World 5K
The Interact Club from Patriot HS is sponsoring a "Supporting Autism Around the World" 5K race on Saturday, April 26. We ask for your support as we support their efforts to raise awareness and proceeds to benefit The Matthews Center in Manassas, VA. A flyer with more information is here. Registrations may be mailed using this form, or by going to www.signmeup.com/99319. Thank you in advance for supporting students' efforts to support ALL students.
Class of 2014 Graduation
The graduation ceremony for the class of 2014 will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Brentsville District High School. The ceremony is scheduled to take place in the football stadium. Should there be inclement weather, each student will be given six tickets for family to attend the ceremony which will be moved to the gymnasium.
Orientation activities for new students
Brentsville will host three orientation activities for students new to the Tiger family. The first, Jump Start, will occur on June 11. Students and parents will have an opportunity to pick up a copy of the courses selected for 2014-2015 and receive information about academic expectations of students; get physicals; attend concusssion training; and meet teachers, coaches, sponsors, and administrators. The second opportunity is to take a tour with an administrator over the summer. Tours are scheduled each Wednesday at 9 and 9:30. Finally, the SGA will sponsor an orientation for new students in late August. More information on each of these is forthcoming, but please mark Jump Start, scheduled for June 11, on your calendar!
VCU Pipeline
All students interested in various VCU programs, including careers in dentistry, physical therapy, dental hygiene, and VCU's Acceleration program for seniors who've been accepted to VCU should look at the programs offered through the VCU Pipeline. More information about each of the programs can be found here, including links to web-sites and the applications for each of the programs. Applications deadlines are either April 25 or May 1, depending on in which program you are interested.

SAT Online Course

All Prince William County High School students will receive a FREE SAT online preparation course for use during the 2013-2014 school year. Click here for information about accessing the course.


Yearbook Ad

ATTENTION PARENTS OF SENIORS: Express friendship, love or congratulations to the special student in your life with a personal ad in the yearbook. Select the desired size and personalize the ad with your own message and photo(s). Ad forms are located on the yearbook site on school fusion under student.
